Did you know that about one-third of U.S. adults are overweight, according to the NIH.  There are many people today that are looking for massive weight loss in the most efficient way possible.    I don't blame them, who wants to worry about the health issues and the looks you get from being overweight.  There are many men that have "man boobs" and wonder how to get rid of them.  Well, you don't have to worry anymore with the one proven strategy to work every single time.

Goal setting followed by action is the most important strategy anyone can have in their quest towards weight loss.  Why is that?  Well, many people purchase books, get weight loss devices, and start to work out but with out a clear cut goal. 

Your intent of making your goal will be worth gold once you realize that setting an obtainable goal and taking action is all you have to do to get started.  What is the best way to set this goal?

I can tell you how I would do it.  Start by setting a 1 year goal for your fitness level.  Describe on paper every aspect of your 1 year goal.  How much do you want to weigh, what is your body fat percentage, describe how you feel.  These are all things that make your goal feel real to you.  These are all the things that you will think about when you see the paper and make you want to continue.

You could also describe what your weight loss has done for your life.  Describe how it has affected your job, your personal love life, and how it has changed the way you feel about yourself.

Now that you have described your 1 year goal you can begin to set goals leading up to that point.  Set small obtainable goals that will allow you to reach that 1 year goal.  How many inches do you want lost in 4 weeks?  How do you want to look in 4 weeks?  Write it all down.  You have to or you won't get the true feeling of the goal which will allow you to take action, now.

Once you have written all of your goals down leading up to that 1 year mark you need to make copies of the paper.  Put that paper in the car, on the fridge, on your desk at work, and even in your locker at the gym.  Every time you get a chance you need to remind yourself of what you want to achieve.  You have to set your mind on the right path to success and this will help you.

The goal description may be sitting on your passenger seat as you pull up to a McDonalds which will make you think twice about getting that Big Mac and all of the fried food.  That little piece of paper will motivate you when you are sitting at home watching T.V. to get up and get moving.

That "motivation sheet" is going to take you to the next level of living life.  You will begin to feel healthier, look good, and walk with confidence as you obtain your goals one by one. 

Imagine what it will be like when you have obtained your goals and people are turning their heads, not in disgust, but in visual appeal. 

Your goals can not be achieved by just writing them down.  You must take action.  You must put them into motion.  According to the famous Newton, a body in motion tends to stay in motion.  So stay in motion all the time.  Keep your mind on the prize and you will get their. 

Get ready for the time of your life because once you believe you can achieve.
